Seamless Patio Transition

The goal for this Riverside family was simple: remove the wall between the living room and the backyard pergola. What had been a narrow sliding door was replaced with a large-format multi-slide aluminum system with Low-E glass that stacks completely to one side, opening the entire rear of the home to the covered patio. The aluminum framing was matched to the existing exterior finish, and the Low-E coating keeps heat gain minimal even with the expansive glass area — a critical consideration in the Inland Empire summer.
